Co-hosted by the City of London Corporation Green Finance Initiative and Green Finance Committee of China Society for Finance and Banking.

And supported by Regular Cooperation and Exchange Mechanism for Banks along the Belt and Road and United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment.

The joint seminar, taking place on 19th March, follows the 9th UK-China Economic and Financial Dialogue which called for the Taskforce to conduct a range of activities including:

  1. Greening the Belt and Road
  2. UK-China regulatory cooperation
  3. A joint pilot program to deliver against the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations with approximately 10 Chinese and UK financial firms; and
  4. research on ESG and financial performance

Our discussion will outline the Taskforce’s progress in these four areas, agree on joint work programmes, and outline deliverables for the 10th UK-China Economic Dialogue, expected to take place in London in late 2018.
